  • Signed by Cleveland at the age of 16 out of the Dominican Republic.
  • Called up in late August 1984 at the age of 18 after Brook Jacoby was lost to a season-ending injury.
  • Became the 25th teenager in team history to appear in a game. No one has done it since (as of 2024).
  • Was the primary second basemen in September 1984, replacing Mike Fischlin, who had previously replaced the struggling veteran Tony Bernazard.
  • Bernazard bounced back the following year and remained the second baseman through 1985, 1986 and most of 1987 before he was traded to Oakland. It wasn’t until shortly before the Bernazard trade that Noboa returned to majors.
  • Noboa was without a spot again the following year when Julio Franco moved from shortstop to second base to make room for Jay Bell at shortstop. Cleveland traded Noboa to the Angels at the end of Spring Training.
  • Hit his only career home run with Montreal in 1991 off Cubs reliever (and future Indian) Paul Assenmacher.
