While playing both left and right field in the game, Angel Martinez collected 6 RBI against the White Sox on Friday night.
He’s just the second player in team history with at least 6 RBI in game in which he played multiple defensive positions.
The first to do so was Walt Bond, who also played left and right field in a game against the Athletics in 1962.
The Guardians hit their fifth grand slam of the year on Friday night in Chicago, this one coming from Angel Martinez.
It was Martinez’s second grand slam of the year, joining Daniel Schneeman who has two of his own.
