  • Drafted by Cleveland in second round in 1978.
  • Made his MLB debut in 1981 in Cleveland against his brother’s team (Milwaukee). Sal did not play in the game but was on the roster. Sal had played his final career game in Cleveland two days earlier.
  • Slugged .505 during a career year in 1984, the only season his slugging percentage topped .400.
  • Released by Cleveland in August 1988. Signed with Tigers for rest of season. Ended his career with his brothers long-time team in Oakland in 1989.
