Worst Games with RISP

The Guardians went 0-17 with runners in scoring position in Thursday’s 12-inning loss to the Twins, tying a franchise record for the worst 0-for with RISP and setting the mark for the worst performance at home.

The other two 0-17 incidents:

  • September 8, 1981 at BAL
  • May 2, 1970 at KC (17 innings)

There have only been four other instances of going 0-15 or worse:

  • October 3, 2022 vs KC (0-15)
  • April 5, 2004 at Minnesota (0-15)
  • July 30, 1972 vs MIL (0-15)
  • May 20, 1965 vs BAL (0-15)

Ramirez Reaches 20 SB

In Saturday’s game against the Reds, stole his 19th and 20th bases of the season in just his 47 game.

It’s the eighth fewest games to 20 steals in team history and only three other individuals have done it faster.

Here’s the list:

At age 33, Ramirez is easily the oldest of the group. The previous team record for most stolen bases through 47 games by a player age 33 or older was just 8 by in 2018.

Ramirez is also just the 15th player in MLB history to reach 20 stolen bases in 47 games or fewer. The most recent to do so:
